LAW 925 - Advanced Appellate Advocacy3 Credit Hours Study of appellate practice and procedure, brief writing, and appellate argument. In addition to a discussion of the structure, jurisdiction, and procedure of the appellate courts, the course explores the process of formulating and preserving appellate issues and initiating and executing appeals, including writing a persuasive appellate brief and making an effective appellate argument. Will complete a rough draft and a final draft of an appellate brief and will present an appellate argument in a hypothetical appellate case. Registration Restriction(s): Law students only.
