ECE 628 - Power System Transients3 Credit Hours Major focus of course is to train students to effectively simulate electric transients using tools like EMTDC/PSCAD in power systems; and to provide students the ability to analyze electric transients in power system circuits and applications. It is expected that students will understand how to approach power system disturbance and oscillation analysis through examples and projects. Projects will be based on EMTDC/PSCAD simulations or equivalent. (RE) Prerequisite(s): 521 or consent of instructor. Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
