STAT 560 - Introduction to Mathematical Statistics

3 Credit Hours
Probability, probability distributions, simulation of random variables, sampling distributions, central limit theorem, testing of hypotheses, confidence intervals, maximum likelihood methods, Bayesian methods.
Credit Restriction: Not for credit for MS with a major in statistics or management science.
Recommended Background: Mathematics 241.
Comment(s): A course equivalent to Mathematics 241 also is acceptable.
