EPP 525 - Medical and Veterinary Entomology3 Credit Hours Identification, biology, and control of arthropod parasites of humans and animals. Will focus on arthropods and their biology, life histories, habitats, hosts, and options for management. Review and discussion of sampling/monitoring methods and decision-making guidelines to managing vector-borne diseases also will be addressed. Includes an in-depth research experience requiring a manuscript submission for publication. Contact Hour Distribution: 2 hours lecture and 2 hours lab. Recommended Background: 321 or consent of instructor. Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
