CEM 602 - GIS and Geographical Epidemiology3 Credit Hours Principles and applications of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and geographical epidemiology in human and animal health research and practice. Exposure to a wide range of spatial analysis techniques useful in the investigation of human and animal disease problems as well as vector dynamics. The knowledge gained is useful in guiding disease prevention and control strategies. Recommended Background: Graduate-level epidemiology and statistics courses.
