JREM 555 - Seminar in the Technology and Economics of Media and Information Systems3 Credit Hours Examines how economics and technology shape development and operations of media and information systems. Focus on industry structures, market definitions, and impacts of emerging competition. Implications of emerging technologies on costs, market definitions, and supply and demand characteristics. Discussion of emerging/new media and implications on existing systems. Comparison of traditional and emerging industries, markets, and models. Credit Level Restriction: Graduate credit only.
