FREN 425 - Introduction to Descriptive Linguistics

3 Credit Hours
Initiation into the theory and practice of techniques of linguistic analysis in the subfields of phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics and historical linguistics; discussion of their relevance to the learning and teaching of foreign languages and to the study of literary texts.
