CBE 671 - Advanced Topics in Biomolecular Engineering3 Credit Hours Current science and technology at the interface of engineering and biology, focusing at the molecular level. Topics include enzyme-based sensors, molecular-level engineering for bio-based energy production, genetic engineering for protein expression in non-native hosts, modeling of metabolic networks and gene expression. (DE) Prerequisite(s): 579. Recommended Background: Working knowledge of undergraduate level biochemistry and cellular biology; graduate chemical engineering core course work.
