STAT 201 - Introduction to Statistics

3 Credit Hours
Data collection techniques. Graphical and numerical summaries of data. Introduction to probability and probability distributions. Binomial and normal distributions. Inference for a single mean, a single proportion, difference in means and difference in proportions using confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. Simple linear regression and correlation. Association between categorical variables. Use of statistical computing software. Applied course appropriate for a general audience.
