Religious Studies Major, BA


Majors are required to take 27 hours of religious studies courses at the 300 level or above. The major shall not include related language courses. Details regarding the major and religious studies courses are available in the departmental office, located in 501 McClung Tower, or from any member of the religious studies faculty.

Honors Concentration


The honors concentration consists of 33 hours. At least 3 of the 30 upper-level religious studies hours must be honors-by contract. Students must have an overall GPA of 3.25 to be accepted to the honors concentration. To graduate with honors the student must maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.25 and pass 407 and 408 with at least a 3.3 in each class. Students interested in the honors concentration should consult the department’s honors coordinator.
