CLAS 222 - Classical Greek and Roman Mythology3 Credit Hours Use of myth in literature, history, religion, and philosophy of Greece and Rome from about 450 BC to about 350 AD. Two foci are the latter half of the 5th century BC and the last quarter of the 1st century BC. Includes oriental intrusions into Greece and Rome, including early Christianity. Readings include Sophocles, Euripides, Roman poetry, and modern scholarship. Writing-emphasis course.
